I know Nichole from mutual friends in our home town of Plano. She went to Plano Senior high, I went to Plano east.
Needless to say, I was excited to hear from her about photographing her wedding. They were actually already married, but had their wedding after the fact. I’ve had a few weddings like that. She flirted with the idea of a destination wedding but to have all the guests she wanted had her wedding in Austin Texas. It was beautiful. I seem to have photographed several weddings this year in Austin. It’s nice as it’s relatively local to where I’m based in Dallas, so that’s good and I get to visit my brother. The girls got ready at the Allandale hotel.

Onto the Zilker Botanical Gardens / arboretum, just south of downtown Austin.
I love the way their photos turned out of just them two together. It helps when you have a little time to work with. Then to the reception which was on a party boat. It took us up and down Lake Austin / Lake Travis.
They were graduates of A&M university in college station, TX. Aggies are notorious for their school spirit and have quite a few traditions to go along with it. Here’s one of them!
And for the final shot, what’s better than bubbles in the eyes? haha. I have another ‘good’ exit photo of them but I thought this one was cute, so it made the blog post. Thanks to Nichole and Doug for the opportunity to photos their wedding, and thanks to Chelsea who second shot with me.
